From the train station Innsbruck are regularly running busses to Neustift. From there by alm taxi Danler to Oberiss hut.

From Innsbruck over Brenner motorway A 13 – exit Stubaital and further on to Neustift. In Neustift turn right through village centre to the locality Milders (not the main road towards Stubai glacier). Further on mountain road through the Oberbergtal valley to Oberissalm (parking fee).

Approach:
To Franz Senn Hut: 1,5 h / 410 Hm. From parking short way into the valley, then by many hair-pin bends over steep hillside; Further on crossing long alpine pastures, passing an impressive waterfall to the hut.
To via ferrata Sommerwand: 30-35 Min. Same as „Höllenrachen“, over stream and path upwards to the access at the left border of the climbing wall.
Descent:
Same as accesses or along the partly signposted descent trails.
The Sommerwand via ferrata was designed as a practice via ferrata, so it is particularly recommended for via ferrata beginners.
The Sommerwand via ferrata leads up the left edge of the climbing garden of the same name via slab ramp. The ferrata has more of a practice via ferrata character and is often used by courses. The via ferrata is worth doing after the Höllenrachen via ferrata (at the last rope bridge, however, you get off on the left side of the stream).
