Description

Beautiful and very varied mountain tour with wonderful deep views of the Pinnis and Stubaital. In the upper part of the tour, the climbs are partly steep and require sure-footedness and a head for heights in the scree-covered craggy terrain.
From the Serles lifts via the comfortable forest road to Maria Waldrast. Here you hike from the road to the nearby Ochsenalm and continue on a beautiful trail southwestwards through the Matreier Grube into the Kalbenjoch. Cross a cirque to the south and climb over very steep scree terrain to a prominent ridge, over which you climb up to a scenic saddle, and then from the north over scree to the Kesselspitze. From the summit you have a wonderful panoramic view over the Pinnis and Stubaital. The descent can be made along the same path. A round tour over the Blaser is also possible. The way back to Kampl is described here. From the summit, you descend on the Stubai Valley side over quite steep terrain to the Kampl district.
