Easy mountain hike, but with considerable height difference. Great views and don't miss a visit to one of the two rustic alpine pastures.
The marked trail begins after the last houses of the hillside settlement of Gasteig. The trail soon leads into the forest and uphill to a forest road. Following the signs, you cross the Mischbachsteig and cross a forest ridge to the Mischbachalm. Now head south into the Innere Mischbachgrube, then turn right over somewhat steeper terrain onto the ridge of the Glücksgrat, from where you have a beautiful view of the Stubai Valley and the filigree Rotspitzen peaks. Descend westwards over alpine pastures and mats to the Obere Bacherwandalm (unmanaged) and steeply downhill in the forest to the Bacherwandalm. From the Bacherwandalm there are several descent options into the valley.
