The mountain railroads are the fastest way to high alpine terrain. Wonderful views, fresh air and plenty of room for exercise await you here.
Dogs are allowed to ride in mountain railroads in the Stubaital free of charge.
Leash your dog also on hikes. Even if free running around looks so tempting.
Watch out for grazing animals like cows. They are not vicious, but attacks do sometimes occur. Therefore, avoid grazing areas with your dog and keep your distance. If you find yourself in distress in a grazing area: Quickly unharness the dog: it is more nimble without you. It is best for you to leave the pasture calmly and not in a hurry.
Dogs are to be kept on a leash all year round in the (red marked) municipal area.
In forest areas the provisions of the Tyrolean Hunting Act apply
§ 35 Abs 2 lit c: Dogs that are encountered poaching or are outside the influence of their master and obviously pose a danger to game, and cats that are encountered at a distance of more than 1,000 meters from the nearest inhabited house or poaching, even if they are caught in traps are tobe killed. Hunting, domestic, guide, police and shepherd dogs may not be killed if they are recognizable as such, are used in the service for which they are intended and have only temporarily escaped the influence of their master.
§ 42 Abs 2: Any intentional disturbance and any pursuit of game, touching and picking up of young game as well as keeping and transporting of live game by persons who are not authorized to hunt is prohibited.
All dog owners are obliged to ensure that their pets do not leave any dirt in fields, on roads, on footpaths, etc. This regulation applies to the entire municipality. This regulation covers the entire territory of the municipality. Dog-walking bags are available for free use at the numerous "dog-walking stations".
§ 2 (1) Anyone who has a dog (dogs) in the municipal area of the municipality of Neustift im Stubaital, has to remove the pollution caused by the dog (dogs) (dog excrement) immediately and dispose of it properly (para. 2).
(2) Proper disposal shall only be deemed to have occurred if the dog excrement is collected in a suitable container, such as a dog excrement collection bag, and subsequently disposed of in street waste containers or in the household waste garbage can.
The public playgrounds Krößbach, Milders, Neustift - Kindergarten, Volksschule Neder, Kampl - Fichtenweg and Kampler See may not be entered with dogs.
The following generally accessible buildings and areas may not be entered with dogs:
a) School campus
b) Krößbach elementary school
c) Crèche and kindergarten of the municipality of Neustift
d) Neustift leisure center
e) The entire area of the parish church Neustift
f) Public WC facilities
NOTE: Compliance with the leash requirement and the removal of dog excrement will be monitored by the mountain rescue service!
A violation will result in a report to the district administration!
