Becherhaus 3.191m

The BECHERHAUS (ital. Rifugio Bicchiere) is located on the South Tyrolean side of the Stubai Alps at the edge of the Übertalferner at an altitude of 3,195 m.

THE HÜTTE FÜHREN WITH PASSION, hospitality that comes from the heart! The tried and tested landlords Edeltraud and Lukas Lantschner and their three children have been running the refuge since 2021. They have already discovered their enthusiasm for the high alpine landscape for years and draw energy from it to master the daily challenges at this altitude together with a team of tried and tested staff. He can always provide competent information and always has an open ear for the concerns of his guests.

The refuge can only be reached on foot or by helicopter! Despite its impressive location, it offers climbers running water, hot meals at all times and space for 100 people. It contains the small chapel 'Maria im Schnee', the highest Marian shrine in the Alps and is itself the highest hut in South Tyrol.

Although located in the Eastern Alps, the Becherhaus is a base for impressive, high alpine undertakings, which can easily compete with tours in the Western Alps. Well-known peaks such as Wilder Freiger (3418 m), Zuckerhütl (3507 m), Sonklarspitze (3456 m), Botzer (3250 m) round off the Becherhaus.
