This hike is one of the most beautiful and scenically impressive in the Stubaital. First the Grawa waterfall delights, then the most beautiful views down into the rear of the Stubaital, the fresh alpine soil with the many small streams on the Sulzenaualm and the waterfall above.
Like a silver arrow, the water of this unique waterfall shoots in a thin aisle over 200 metres straight down onto the wonderfully green and flat alpine pasture Sulzenaualm. Especially in the early afternoon, the waterfall glistens in all facets, hisses and gushes and makes a wonderful water mushroom at the end. If you feel like it, you can still dip your feet into the small streams and meanders on the flat alpine pasture floor. From the car park behind the Grawa Alm, the beautifully laid-out hiking trail to the Sulzenaualm begins (1 hour's walk). Alternatively, you can hike along the WildeWasserweg trail over the viewing platforms of the Grawa waterfall. Past the Sulzenaualm with the funny figures in the guest garden, the trail leads into the valley floor and continues in comfortable serpentines to the Sulzenauhütte, which stands like an eagle's nest with a magnificent view directly above a rocky precipice on a beautiful, level floor. The walking time to the Sulzenauhütte is about 2 hours. The Sulzenaualm and the Sulzenauhütte invite you to stop for refreshments.
