Traditional and melodic Alpine Folk Music

Traditional folk music is very popular in the Stubai Valley. Many young musicians have made a name for themselves in various
ensembles beyond the Stubai Valley. It is rightly considered that the Stubai Valley is now one of Tirol's
"showcase regions in folk music". Patrick Pfurtscheller, a student of the Styrian Harmonika with Johanna Dumfart and a music teacher at the Landesmusikschule Stubaital, has invited a group of Stubai musician friends to today's folk music evening. Together with his sister Larissa Pfurtscheller (Harp) and brother Daniel Pfurtscheller (Tuba, Styrian Harmonika), Patrick Pfurtscheller (Styrian Harmonika, Trumpet) performs as Bröllerhofmusig. The Bröllerhofmusig is named after the family farm in Milders. Patrick and Larissa Pfurtscheller have won several awards as soloists at the Alpine folk music competition. The family music group has been performing together since 2008. In 2019, the Bröllerhofmusig was rated "Excellent" at the Alpine folk music competition.
Together with the musician colleagues of the Bundesmusikkapelle Neustift, David Egger (Tenorhorn), Phillip Haas (Trumpet), and Hubert Pfurtscheller (Tuba), Patrick Pfurtscheller (Trumpet) also plays in the formation "Tolerblech".
The Stubaier Alphornblowers were founded in 2008 and have been sounding in the Stubai Valley and also beyond since then. They accompany various events throughout the year, such as the Stubaier Almklang, Stubaier hiking nights, concerts, and weddings. A unique experience are their sounds during the summer sunrise rides of Schlick 2000 at Kreuzjoch. Their sounds particularly create a festive atmosphere during the Christmas season and at various Christmas markets. Traditionally, the Stubaier Alphornblowers welcome visitors to the "Stubaier Christmas", the festive Christmas concert in the parish church of St. Georg in Neustift on December 27 at Franz-Senn-Platz.
The Stubaier Alphornblowers have made several appearances on television shows from the Stubai Valley.
