Vibrant and Melodic Alpine Folk Music

The traditional folk music is very popular in the Stubaital. Many young musicians have made a name for themselves in different
ensembles beyond the Stubaital. Not without reason, the Stubaital is now considered one of Tyrol's
“showcase regions for folk music.” Patrick Pfurtscheller, a student of the Steirische Harmonika with Johanna Dumfart and music teacher at the Landesmusikschule Stubaital, has invited a group of Stubai musician friends to tonight's folk music evening. Together with his sister Larissa Pfurtscheller (Harp) and brother Daniel Pfurtscheller (Tuba, Steirische Harmonika), Patrick Pfurtscheller (Steirische Harmonika, Trumpet) performs as Bröllerhofmusig. The Bröllerhofmusig is named after the parental farm in Milders. Patrick and Larissa Pfurtscheller have won several awards as soloists at the Alpine Folk Music Competition. The family music group has been performing together since 2008. In 2019, the Bröllerhofmusig was rated "Excellent" at the Alpine Folk Music Competition. At tonight's concert, the Neustift soloist Jasmin Neunhäuserer is representing harpist Larissa Pfurtscheller.
Together with the musician colleagues from the Federal Music Band Neustift, David Egger (Tenor Horn), Phillip Haas (Trumpet) and Hubert Pfurtscheller (Tuba), Patrick Pfurtscheller (Trumpet) also plays in the formation "Tolerblech". At tonight's concert, Helmut Haas is representing the soloist David Egger.
The Stubaier Alphorn Players were founded in 2008 and have since performed in the Stubaital as well as outside it. They frame various events throughout the year, such as the Stubaital Almklang, the Stubaital Night Hikes, concerts and weddings. A special experience is their music during the summer sunrise trips of Schlick 2000 at Kreuzjoch. Their sounds accompany the Christmas season in a particularly festive way and some Christmas markets. Traditionally, the Stubaier Alphorn Players welcome visitors to the "Stubaier Weihnacht," the festive Christmas concert at St. Georg Parish Church in Neustift on December 27 at Franz-Senn-Platz.
The Stubaier Alphorn Players have made several appearances on TV shows from the Stubaital.
