“Die Augeiger” are a string ensemble that evolved from the music week of the Tyrolean folk music association in 1989. The Augeiger play in the style of traditional Zillertal violin music. At the Alpine Folk Music Competition in 1990 in Innsbruck, “Die Augeiger” received the rating of “outstanding.” This was followed by many performances at various folk music events, television, and radio shows both domestically and abroad.

“Die Augeiger” consist of four musicians:
Barbara Aichner – Violin,
Waltraud Reitmeir – Violin,
Sabine Fontan – Harp
Hans Anker - Double bass
“Die Augeiger” are joined by Katharina Wessiack on violin and Felix Aichner on accordion.

Edi Giuliani
Edi Giuliani studied music education and instrumental pedagogy in the subjects of zither, horn, and piano at the Mozarteum - Innsbruck campus.
Giuliani has been a teacher at the Wattens music school and at the Tyrolean music school network in the regional music schools of Schwaz and Wörgl since 2004.
Edi Giuliani has published a collection of zither pieces and works as a composer and arranger.
Through his pieces on the amplified zither, Edi Giuliani conveys the versatility of this traditional folk music instrument.
