The ensemble Brass ‘n Sax has emerged from the brass players of the Joe Smith Band: Walter Plank shines on trumpet, Peppi Haller alternates between trombone and trumpet. Toni Pichler is regarded as a true tuba virtuoso.
Joining as a guest soloist is Sabino Gabriele Monterisi on saxophone.
The charm of Brass ‘n Sax lies in the unusual instrumentation: three brass players and one woodwind player. This creates a sound that carries a special magic.
The program features music of old masters and evergreens arranged for the quartet.
