Filippo Manci, born in Rome, studied harpsichord and orchestral conducting after completing his organ and organ composition studies at the Conservatorio “A. Casella dell'Aquila” with honors. He attended numerous courses, seminars and master classes, including at the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia”, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, at the “Accademia Chigiana di Siena” (graduated with distinction) and at the “Accademia di Pistoia”. Filippo Manci perfected his organ playing under Maestro Giorgio Carnini and Maestro Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, as well as his conducting studies under Maestro Bruno Aprea and Maestro Carlo Maria Giulini.
Since 1998 he has been the conductor at the “Basilica S. Pietro e Paolo”. Filippo Manci founded the choir and orchestra “Melos Ensemble”, with which he regularly performs.
He has collaborated with internationally renowned conductors such as Peter Maag, Claudio Abbado, Ennio Morricone and soloists such as Maurizio Baglini, Marcella Crudeli, Claudio Brizi, Vincenzo Bolognese, Francesco Fiore, Santi Interdonato, Duccio Beluffi, Roberto Abbondanza, Danilo Serraiocco and many others.
Since 2016 he has been increasingly performing in Austria at the Peterskirche in Vienna, in the parish church “Neustift im Stubaital” and at the “Schwazer Summer Concerts”, as well as in Bavaria in Mittenwald and Rosenheim.
