Snowshoeing route Froneben – Schlickeralm (1)

From the car park of the Schlick 2000 valley station in Fulpmes, the cable car takes you comfortably up to Froneben middle station. From there, the first few minutes of the route take you along the road up the mountain. After the mountain station of the ski lift, the snowshoe hiking route branches off to the right towards Schlickerbach and then climbs slightly uphill to the right of the road through the wood and towards Schlickeralm. After just 1 km, the trail becomes quite steep and so you’ll join the road for about 100 metres before coming off to the right again at the first opportunity. Keeping slightly to the right of the road, a little steeper for a short while until you reach the crossroads north of the Panorama Lake. From here, it is always noticeably flatter to the right of the cross-country trail (please avoid feeding the wildlife on a large scale) until the Schlickeralm.
From the Schlickeralm, cross the ski slope (keeping an eye out for winter sports fans) and start below the garage building to the right of the slope. After 200 metres, follow the cross-country trail to the right and hike over the Abendweide (Evening meadow) to the Panorama Lake. From there, at the large wooden disc on the Disc Trail, keep to the right of the ski slope down to Froneben middle station.
