From the train station Innsbruck are regularly running busses to Mutterbergalm.

From the olympic city Innsbruck the Stubai valley is accessible in 20 minutes via Brenner motorway, exit Schönberg until the end of the valley to Mutterbergalm.

podejście:
Von der Mittelstation zur Dresdner Hütte aufsteigen und nördlich der Hütte den roten Markierungen zum Einstieg (Tafel) an der Ostkante folgen (15 Min. ab Mittelstation). Die Dresdner Hütte ist auch in gut 1,5 Stunden vom Tal aus zu erreichen (Weg direkt unter der Seilbahn).
zejście:
Vom Ausstieg entlang des Grates zum Gipfel. Von dort folgt man westlich dem Grat und steigt dann auf Steigspuren zu einem kleinen Bergsee ab, von diesem zurück zur Dresdnerhütte (35 Min. vom Gipfel bis zur Hütte). Für den Abstieg ins Tal empfiehlt sich der Weg durch die Wilde Grube (vom Grat in westlicher Richtung absteigen), aber auch dort wurden Skipisten in den Berg gesprengt. Wer etwas mehr Zeit hat, wählt den landschaftlich eindrucksvollen Weg über den Mutterberger See und gelangt so wieder ins Tal (2 Std.).

The Fernau Express does definitely count to one of the most ambitious via ferrata of the Alps.The experienced climber of via ferrata who has an outlook for handholds and steps and occasionally wants to flex one’s muscles, will get one’s money worth on the Fernau Express, furthermore he will find moments to enjoy the marvelous view to the glacier.
Very useful in addition to the via ferrata security equipment are climbing shoes and a security rope for lower experienced hikers. For beginners may not overbalance the joyful moments on this route.
Enormously difficult via ferrata which extremely difficult passages also demands a great deal of the hiker because of barely available resting points.
