Starting in Mieders, this route climbs up to the top of the Serles lifts. However, those who want a more relaxed outing can just take the lift up. The forest road - which is a sledging track in winter - climbs continuously up the mountain. Once you have arrived at the highest point, a side trip to the nearby Maria Waldrast monastery is well worth it. The first section of the descent is very demanding, leading through the Mühl valley back to your starting point.
