Directions

The Stubai Valley is only 20 minutes from Innsbruck via the Brenner motorway (toll road). To begin your hike along the Stubai High Trail, you can either travel to Fulpmes, to start your tour from the Starkenburger Hut or to Neustift (Dorf or Neder) to start out from the Innsbrucker Hut.

Parking:

• Fulpmes Schlick2000 Ski and Hiking Centre* car park (multi-day parking tickets available from the ticket office at the valley station) → Starkenburger Hütte
• Neustift Bachertal car park (chargeable, multi-day tickets available) → above the police station → on the direct route to the Starkenburger Hütte
• Neustift-Neder Zegger car park (fee applies, multi-day tickets available) → Innsbrucker Hütte

TIP: You can join or leave the Höhenweg circuit at any of the huts; each starting point is easily accessible by public transport, and every hut in the Stubai Valley has its own car park (information for long-term parkers is available from the respective hut).

Arrival by public transport (bus/tram) is possible without any problems:
With the Regiobus 590 from Innsbruck main station to Fulpmes or Neustift or with the Stubaitalbahn STB to Fulpmes.

For an overnight stay in the Stubai Valley (valley or mountain), the TVB Stubai Tirol provides an arrival and departure voucher from/to Innsbruck for one-time free use of the bus line 590 or the Stubai Valley Tram.

In the valley itself you can access the well-timed public transport network with an extensive timetable.
