A TRAIL RUN IS NOT A TRAIL RUN WITHOUT SUPPORT!

To best cheer on the participants along the route, we recommend the following hotspots at the Kalkkögeltrail:

In the centre of Telfes, the race feeling will be palpable all day long. The running festival takes place from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm, followed by a party in the marquee with live music. Parking at Stubay - follow the signs.

Just a few metres below the Schlickeralm, the panoramic lake offers a great opportunity to cheer on the runners. Great photos can be taken against the backdrop of the Kalkkögel mountain range that gave the lake its name.

Reachable from the valley in approx. 2 hours or from the Kreuzjochbahn middle station in approx. 45 minutes. It is recommended to cycle/e-bike to this point, then you will also make it to the finish in Telfes.

Running times:
K42 – 08:08 am to 9:06 am
K18 – 11:44 am to 00:48 pm

At the Schlickeralm, the runners of the K42 will pass a second time, the run time will be between 9:55 and 12:53.

While the finish of the Schlickeralmlauf has been reached here in recent years, the marathon trail now continues towards Sennjoch and Starkenburgerhütte.

Running times:

8:44 to 10:48 am

Accessible from the valley via various hiking trails in approx. 2.5 hours or with the Kreuzjochbahn cable car, first ascent at 9:00 a.m.

The Starkenburger Hütte marks the southernmost point of the Kalkkögeltrail K42. From here, the runners can be easily observed on the next ascent, and you should generally take your time to enjoy the marvellous panoramic view of the Stubai peaks.

Reachable from Neustift in approx. 3-4 hours, great bike route via the Galtalm.

Passage times:
9:14 to 11:44

While the runners of the K18 run to the Pfarrachalm shortly before (Issa), the starters of the Kalkkögeltrail K42 at the neck are only 400 metres short of the Saile. The race times are calculated as 10:49 to 13:59.

Then quickly switch to the Sailenieder, here you can see the runners on the fast downhill from the Saile, run time Sailenieder 11:14 to 15:00.

From the Pfarrachalm, you can observe a lot of both routes. With binoculars, you can see the runners on the last section of the Gloatsteig. The starters of the K18 pass the Pfarrachalm directly afterwards before heading onto the final downhill to Telfes. Those on the K42 can be seen on the ascent to the Hals or the Saile and then also come to the last refreshment station at the Pfarrachalm.

Route description:
The Pfarrachalm can be reached from Telfes in approx. 2 hours on various paths, from the Froneben middle station you need approx. 3 hours. It is recommended to cycle to the Pfarrachalm by bike, so you can also cheer on your favourites at the finish in Telfes.

Run times:
K18 - 12:25 to 14:00
