Summertime in the Stubai offers unforgettable nature experiences and exciting cultural highlights, accompanied by regional culinary highlights. The mountain summer in the Stubai Valley is all about enjoyment and relaxation. Holidaymakers can create new holiday memories far away from everyday life.
Only 20 minutes by car from Innsbruck, the Stubai Valley offers a variety of activities for the whole family. Whether on walks or hikes through the Stubai mountains, relaxing at one of the idyllic mountain lakes, cycling or on discovery tours with the family - the Stubai Valley has something to offer for everyone. Exciting culinary events further enrich the summertime.
At the Schlick 2000 Hiking Centre, the Genuss & Wein event on Saturday, 13 July offers special hiking experiences. All hobby sommeliers among the mountaineers will be able to taste fine wines. In six stages, it goes from hut to hut, in which various wines from winegrowers are presented. Among the participating huts are the Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch, the Sennjochhütte, Schlickeralm, Galtalm, Bruggeralm mountain station and the Fronebenalm.
In August, the sunrise trips to the Kreuzjoch await all early risers. Every Saturday, from 3 to 31 August, the Kreuzjochbahn takes guests to an altitude of over 2,000 metres at sunrise. Once at the top, the "StubaiBlick" viewing platform offers a unique and fantastic view. A small mountain breakfast with musical accompaniment provides a morning refreshment.
For all those who like to travel a little later, the evening rides of the Elferbahnen every Monday, from 08 July to 26 August until 9:30 p.m., make it possible to explore the Elfer - breathtaking sunsets and fascinating views are guaranteed here.
Unforgettable experiences are offered by the summer hiking nights in the Stubai. On Tuesdays, 23 July and 6 August, young and old can discover the WildeWasserWeg, accompanied by the light of the torches. From the Raffein Bridge, the route goes over the illuminated Grawa waterfall to the Grawa Alm. Essential components of the summer hiking night are once again the Stubai gourmet businesses, which will be placed around the platform in front of the Grawa waterfall. The hike is rounded off with a fire show and a colorful music program.
It continues on Tuesday, August 13, with the summer hiking night of the Schlick 2000 in Fulmpes, which will take place there for the first time. In the light of the moonlight and the torches, the hike begins at the Froneben middle station, leads past the Brugger and Fronebenalm to the second tree house and back again.
In addition to moments of enjoyment while hiking and up on the mountain, the valley also offers some weekly highlights. In addition to the Tyrolean homeland evening "G'musigt und Getanzt", which takes place every Tuesday evening from July to August in Fulpmes, visitors can expect the new pedestrian zone in Neustift. From the end of June to the third week of September, the village centre is transformed into a traffic-free zone in the evening, from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., and guests can expect another treat.
