The STUBAI VERTICAL is a pure mountain run that took place on exactly the same course as the "Vertical Uphill Race" at the 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships. The race starts directly at the village square in Neustift and continues along steep serpentines through the forest to the Autenalm at 1,658 metres. From there, the trail is moderately steep to the mountain station of the Elfer cable cars, before the last merciless ascent over the ski slope to the Elfer hut at 2,004 m. The total length of the trail requires a lot of effort. In total, 1,024 metres of altitude have to be climbed over a total length of 7.20 kilometres.
