Whether it is a panoramic trail, a family hike or a long-distance trekking tour, hiking enthusiasts can discover the mountains and nature around the Stubai Glacier in a wide variety of ways. The Stubai High Trail challenges even ambitious mountain sports enthusiasts, while the Glacier Trail from the Fernau mid-station to the Eisgrat mountain station is also ideal for a family outing. Those looking for high-altitude adventure will find plenty to enjoy on the numerous via ferratas and routes in the Fernau Climbing Park.

The TOP OF TYROL summit platform not only guarantees spectacular panoramas stretching from the Stubai Alps all the way to the Dolomites, but also offers the perfect place for peace and relaxation. The crisp mountain air and cool temperatures provide welcome refreshment even on hot summer days. The trip is also a culinary delight: in the restaurant and on the sun terrace at Eisgrat, guests can enjoy Tyrolean classics such as cheese spaetzle, Kaiserschmarrn and BBQ specialities, freshly prepared with regional ingredients and accompanied by magnificent views.

Summer event highlights
During the yoga event on Sunday, 19 July, the TOP OF TYROL platform at 3,000 metres becomes an energising space for movement, relaxation and nature. Summer on the Stubai Glacier also offers plenty of adventures for families. At the high-altitude playground, a six-metre-high wooden mammoth provides climbing fun, while a snow groomer delights young explorers. During BIG Family Week on Thursday, 30 July, children can look forward to a colourful programme featuring a magic show, face painting and photo stations. Another special experience is the mountain mass on Sunday, 2 August at Schaufeljoch Chapel, set amidst the impressive scenery of the Stubai Alps.

Travel to Stubai with the ÖBB Experience Ticket
Travelling to the Stubai Valley made easy: with the new ÖBB Experience Ticket, guests can enjoy a relaxed journey to Innsbruck by ÖBB trains, Deutsche Bahn or the ÖBB Nightjet from Hamburg, Amsterdam or Vienna. From there, they can continue their journey on regional bus route 590 or, optionally, by paid station transfer. With the Stubai Super Card, the bus from Schönberg to the valley station of the Stubai Glacier is free of charge. Best of all: the train journey and leisure experience are combined in a single ticket.

Lift tickets can be conveniently purchased from home via the Stubai Glacier online ticket shop. Family tip: children under the age of 10 travel free on the Stubai Glacier when accompanied by a paying parent.
