Churches in the Stubaital

The first church was probably already built in the early Christian period in Telfes, which formed the ecclesiastical center of the valley for centuries.

Services in Mieders and Fulpmes are already certified in 1389. 1515 Emperor Maximilian, who was on the hunt often in the back of the valley, builds a chapel in Neustift.

The churches now standing in each village center date back to the Telfer pastor and church architect Franz de Paula Penz and have been developed around the middle of the 18th century.
