Mint Tower and the historic centre of Hall
Just behind Innsbruck and thus not far away from the Stubai lies the medieval town of Hall with its marvellous historic centre, the best preserved and largest historic centre in Austria. A trip to Hall can be a welcome diversion during your family holidays in Tyrol.
When strolling through the old lanes, you also pass by the Haller Mint Tower that today accommodates a much-visited museum. Visitors get to see a worldwide unique embossing machine, the first Taler of the world and many other interesting exhibits around the minting history of Europe. When you climb up the tower, the views from up there cover not only the historic centre of Hall, but extend far into the Inn valley and up the Karwendel mountains.
