Time travelling at Untersillerhof
Medieval associations usually refer to knights, old castles and fortresses. However, not only aristocracy was an integral element in these past times. The farmers were probably the most important group of people. How life on a medieval farm looked like many centuries ago, can be experienced at the Untersillerhof in Neustift first hand.
The old Untersillhof farmhouse is more than 400 years old and since 1666 has evidently been in the possession of the Siller family. Here there are many old finds, which are not only displayed inside the farm museum. An exciting tour through history with stories of the ancestors of the Siller family is an incomparable experience for all age groups.
After the museum visit, homemade delicacies wait to be tasted: Rose syrup, apricot schnapps, jam bread, yogurt, etc.
"Let it bee" at the Fleckhof
The fascinating world of honeybees and their behaviour leave us at awe again and again. We owe our healthy food, such as fruit and vegetables to the bees’ industrious dusting work. They supply honey and wax to us with and are the epitome of diligence. The beekeeper at the Fleckhof will provide exciting insight into the life around a bee hive. The subsequent bee quiz then allows you to test your knowledge.
