Summer traditions in the Stubai Valley

Music, Dances, Fairytales

The Stubai Valley is a place where traditions are alive. Visitors who spend their summer holidays here have the chance to get to know these authentic customs and immerse themselves in real Stubai life. In the five villages of the valley, on the alpine pastures and on the Stubai Glacier, guests can enjoy nature, sing and experience culture.

Whether it's a walk or hike through the Stubai Alps, a short break at one of the mountain lakes, a bike tour or a family outing - the Stubai Valley offers a variety of activities for young and old. In addition to culinary events, summertime in the Stubai also attracts visitors with exciting events around music and tradition.

Musical hikes from alpine pasture to alpine pasture

At "Stubaier G'spiel und G'sang ... with folk music from alpine pasture to alpine pasture", folk music can be heard around the Serles. On the first Sundays in July, August and September, singers and musicians will ensure a good mood at the Ochsenhütte, the Gleinserhof, the Sonnenstein inn and the Koppeneck mountain restaurant.

Divine services at lofty heights

On Sunday, August 4, the mountain mass on the Stubai Glacier will take visitors to the Schaufeljoch chapel at an altitude of 3,000 meters. At 11 a.m., a service of the word will take place in the middle of the impressive mountain landscape of the glacier. The physical well-being of the guests will be taken care of afterwards and will also be framed by a brass band. One week later, on Sunday, 11 August, the 26th Stubaier Almklang – Almsingen & Weisenbläsertreffen will take place in the Pinnis Valley, bringing together musicians from all over the Alpine region. Two weeks later, on 25 August, the church day will be celebrated on the Froneben Alm in the Schlick 2000. After the service, there will be live music and regional delicacies.

Experience traditions up close

The Stubai Valley offers not only unique events, but also weekly highlights.
