Successful final tournament of the Chairman Cup 2024 in the Stubai Valley

Football festival inspires young talents from all over Europe

The final of this year's Chairman Cup, which took place from 17 to 19 May 2024 at the sports stadion in Neustift in the Stubai Valley, was a complete success. In the best weather conditions, 48 U10 teams from all over Central Europe competed in an exciting and fair competition. Renowned teams such as Red Bull Salzburg, Partizan Belgrade and Barca Academy Zurich showed impressive performances in front of a full house and brought high-class football to the Tyrolean Alps. In the end, the title was won by the Stuttgarter Kickers from Germany.

Already at the start of the Chairman Cup Stubai, which began on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the village square in Neustift with the entry of the teams and the draw of the group games, the atmosphere was great and the spectator interest was great.

Thrilling matches and international rankings

The following tournament, with over 200 matches, then took place in front of full grandstands on Saturday and Sunday at the sports field in Neustift. The Games were characterized by sporting excellence and high quality with plenty of exciting moments. In a high-scoring final, the Stuttgarter Kickers from Germany were able to hold their own against Giocafutbal La Academia Chiumiento from Switzerland and secure the victory. The boys from Partizan Belgrade from Serbia fought for third place.

Cultural exchange and local hospitality

The Chairman Cup was not only a tournament, but also a platform for cultural exchange. The participating teams and their families enjoyed the warm hospitality in the Stubai Valley and experienced the attractive diversity of Tyrol. The organizer of the Chairman Cup, Manuel Pfurtscheller, expressed his enthusiasm about the course of the tournament: "It is always a pleasure to see how sport brings together young people from different backgrounds. The Chairman Cup proved once again that football speaks a universal language."

Positive response and future

The response to the tournament was overwhelmingly positive, both from the participants and the visitors. The Stubai Valley Tourism Association was pleased to welcome 700 children who had travelled with their parents, fans and friends and spent the weekend here. The chairman of the tourism association, Adrian Siller, confirmed the positive effects: "This tournament has not only given the young players great experiences, but has also further established our region as a destination for international sporting events."

In view of the success, the organizers are already planning the next edition of the Chairman Cup, which is expected to take place at Whitsun 2025. With even more international teams and an expanded supporting program, the tournament is to continue to grow and the tradition of youth football in the Stubai Valley is to be continued.
