With its four ski areas, the Stubai Valley once again fulfils the wishes of all winter holidaymakers in the new winter season. The Stubai Glacier kicks off the season on September 20, 2024, thanks to its high altitude, early and abundant snowfall and the associated snow guarantee. From December, winter sports enthusiasts can really let off steam in the Schlick 2000 and end the day in one of the rustic huts. Especially in the newly built, modern Kreuzjoch panorama restaurant, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley. In winter, the Elferbahnen in Neustift offer a unique tobogganing experience on three long, floodlit runs. Idyllic winter hiking trails and gentle slopes for beginners can be found in the Serlesbahnen area in Mieders. But connoisseurs also get their money's worth - whether on or off the slopes.
The Stubai Glacier, Austria's largest glacier ski area, started the season in mid-September and offers guaranteed snow until May. With 63 kilometres of pistes, 33 downhill runs and 26 cable cars and lifts in full operation, skiers of all abilities will be delighted. In addition to the varied BIG Family offer for families with children, the powder department for freeriders and the Stubai Zoo snow park for snowboarders and freeskiers, gourmets can also look forward to a special culinary experience. The gourmet restaurant Schaufelspitz serves specialties at the highest level at an altitude of over 3,000 meters. Traditional Tyrolean dishes are presented with a modern, refined touch. The majority of the products used come from the Stubai Valley and the surrounding area. Not forgetting the freshly prepared desserts, which are served in front of a magnificent mountain panorama and are the crowning glory of a successful winter sports day.
Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes inspires from a sporting perspective with skiing, snowboarding, freeriding, night tobogganing, cross-country skiing and even paragliding. From a gastronomic point of view, the ski center in the front Stubai Valley will set a new highlight from December 2024. The new Kreuzjoch panorama restaurant will then open its doors. In a stylish ambience and with space for 200 guests, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy regional delicacies on the large sun terrace or in the modern, traditional indoor area. Dishes such as ‘Tyrolean Gröstl’, hearty dumpling variations or sweet delicacies, such as fragrant apple strudel, are cooked using mainly local ingredients. The magnificent view, which stretches from the breathtaking Kalkkögel mountain range across the Stubai Valley to the Inn Valley, rounds off the culinary experience.
In the Elferbahnen ski area in Neustift, not only skiers but also tobogganists get their money's worth. After all, there are some of the longest, snow-covered and floodlit toboggan runs in Tyrol, which provide a special kind of winter fun. Before or after the sporty descents, rustic huts along the toboggan runs invite you to take a well-earned break. The menu includes hearty Tyrolean goulash, soups and hearty snacks prepared with regional ingredients - perfect for recharging your batteries after a long toboggan run.
At the Serlesbahnen in Mieders, you will also find cozy huts with a family atmosphere and typical Tyrolean cuisine. Gentle slopes, the extensive network of winter hiking trails and the toboggan run into the valley make the area particularly family friendly. After an idyllic hike, intensive practice runs on the beginner-friendly ski slopes or speedy descents on the toboggan run, guests can treat themselves to a hearty Kaspressknödel soup, Tyrolean bacon or sweet temptations such as a fluffy Kaiserschmarren in the huts.
With the Stubai Ski Pass, winter sports enthusiasts have access to all four ski areas in the Stubai Valley from 30.11.2024 to 21.04.2025. The pass is automatically valid in all areas from four days and can be conveniently purchased online. In addition to the perfectly groomed slopes, the excellent Tyrolean cuisine in the numerous huts and restaurants ensures that no sporting or culinary wishes remain unfulfilled. Children under the age of ten even ski for free when accompanied by a paying parent and the ski bus between the ski areas is also included.
