Winter hiking FULPMES

Fulpmes circular hike

Option 1
Start / Goal:
Medraz church
Length: 2.8 km (entire circuit)
Walking time: approx. 50 min.
Start at Medraz church. The path leads through the village to the sports ground. From there, it continues to Fulpmes, where the trail returns along the cross-country track to the starting point.

Option 2
Start / Goal:
Tourism association office
Length: 13 km (there and back)
Walking time: approx. 3 hrs.
From the Tourism Association Office, you arrive at the Gröbenhof restaurant along the Gröben path. An idyllic winter hiking trail takes you from here back into the valley. At the Kampl sports ground, cross the bridge over the stream and follow the path along the bank to the Elfer lift valley station in Neustift.  You arrive back at the starting point on the same route.

Option 3
Start / Goal:
Hotel Tirolerhof Fulpmes
Length: 7 km (entire circuit)
Walking time: approx. 2 hrs.
From the Hotel Tirolerhof in Fulpmes, the winter hiking trail takes you to Medraz, parallel to the cross-country trail, where a steeply ascending section takes you to Medrazer Stille. Afterwards, follow a beautiful forest trail until you reach the Kampl district. Go over Höhlebachstraße where you reach the main road. Follow it 100 metres into the valley and turn off right at the bus stop. At the Hotel Rastbichlhof, the trail turns out of the valley again, continuing over the so-called "Himmelreich" back to Medraz. The last section goes along the cross-country trail back to the starting point.

Schlick circular hike

Start / Goal: Froneben middle station
Length: 7 km (entire circuit)
Walking time: approx. 2.5 hrs.
The Schlick route runs through the Schlick 2000 ski region. The hike starts at Froneben halfway station, and continues for around 1 hour through the Schlick valley to the Schlickeralm meadow. After stopping for refreshments at an inn, go back a short way along the same trail, then turn off right to continue to the Galtalm meadow. On the walk back, you'll see skiers cutting tracks in the snow, and you can enjoy the relaxing journey back down into the valley with the cable car from Froneben halfway station.
