Whether used for health or hobbies, popular wisdom surrounding the effects and usage of alpine herbs has been passed down for centuries in Tyrol. This leisure trail takes you from Milders in the Stubai Valley all the way to the Auffangalm. Here, together with herbalist, Sandra Schönherr, you will embark on a journey through the world of alpine and medicinal herbs.
Many alpine and medicinal herbs are not identifiable as such at first sight. For example, highly effective natural remedies grow on the mountain meadows of the Stubai Valley with, among other things, eyebright, bergarnica, ribwort plantain or cat paw. Description Start your hike in the centre of Milders and hike towards the Auffangalm. From the steep track with its short, steep passages, you have a tremendous view over the unspoilt alpine pastures of the Oberberg valley. After about 2 hours you will reach the Auffangalm refreshment stop. Then you hike along a flat forest road to the Bichlhof. Your well-deserved Stubaier Marend (snack) and a herbal schnapps await you here. Alternatively, take a gentle, flat hike on the forest road up to the Auffangalm. The track at the "Josef" parking lot in the Oberbergtal is also suitable for prams. You can also reach the car park by taking a mountain taxi from the centre of Milders.
