Climbing gardens in the Stubaital

Can you safely climb a natural cliff or at concrete dam? In the Stubaital it is all possible.

A climbing garden or climbing park is a confined area with several sport climbing routes. These routes can lead through the natural rock face on the mountain, or be attached to an artificially created object. The routes are usually provided with hooks, rollers or other safety devices so that mountaineers can enjoy their hobby without a lot of hassle.

The Stubaital offers a variety of climbing gardens, most of them in close proximity to refuges. The degrees of difficulty vary, but they all have something in common – they are great fun. Some of the most beautiful climbing gardens are presented here on the homepage. Usually the topographies can be downloaded as well.

For information on sport climbing or the climbing gardens please contact the Stubai mountain guides or the hosts at the huts near the respective climbing gardens.
