opis

Easy hiking trail from Neder to the Issenanger Alm in the heart of the Pinnistal.
The geology of the rear Pinnistal offers a unique feature: two different rock forms meet impressively. On the left, we see the mighty limestone reefs in rugged, horizontally layered wall alignments. The abysses of the Kirchdachspitzen are over 600 metres high and the Ilmspitzen further back, with their jagged pillars and vertical walls, are reminiscent of the Drei Zinnen in the Dolomites. Hundreds of metres of light-grey scree slopes down to the valley floor. The sparsely overgrown grassy slopes next to them also give an idea that there is little fertile soil and hardly any water here. Behind the Karalm, we can experience the step into the primeval rock like a leap into another world. Beneath the mighty northern flank of the Habichts, lush life virtually flows down into the valley: dense shrubbery with alpine rose bushes, mossy soils, lush green birch trees. Small rivulets run down from the mountain in thin wisps.

The hike leads from Neder on the gravel road in a narrow valley incision, at first dead straight and relatively steeply uphill next to the Pinnisbach stream. But the trip to the romantic alpine pastures of Herzeben and Issenanger are worth it alone.
