Fulpmes Forge Museum
Well into the 16th century, iron ore was mined in the Schlick.
As a consequence, numerous forges emerged and their tools got well – known beyond the boundaries of the Stubai Valley.
The museum shows the development of the blacksmith`s art ,and various original tools from the 19th century. Furthermore it holds documents and examples of the art. Finally there is the “Fulpmes Schmied ( Blacksmith)” to be seen, a wooden sculpture designed by Ludwig Penz (1876 – 1918), the pioneer of modern sculpture in Tyrol.
