Sulzenau Hut

The Sulzenau Hut is a wonderful location to spend a couple of days in the mountains. Set in beautiful green surroundings, its spectacular natural scenery is enjoyed by young and old. Beneath the towering giant glaciers, you can cross rushing streams on a zip-line, explore the climbing park and the practice climbs or search for the next cache using your GPS. Dive into the crystal-clear lake, climb up to the summit cross... or simply enjoy alpine wellness with a café au lait and apple strudel and a view of the Sulzenau glacier! TIP: a one-day hike to the summit cross on the Aperen Freiger (3,262 m).

Facilities

The Sulzenau Hut has six 4-bed rooms, three 6-bed rooms and two double rooms as well as 70 sleeping spaces in mattress dormitories of varying sizes.

Prices vary depending on the preferred type of board and Alpine Club membership. Half-board and à la carte dining options are available.

Speaking from years of experience, half-board has proven to be the ideal dining option. It consists of a three or four-course evening meal and a full breakfast with muesli, fruit and orange juice. Those who choose not to eat any bread for breakfast can take it along as sustenance for the trail.
‘Mountaineer’ half-board consists of the same breakfast as normal half-board, but in the evening there is only soup and the 'mountaineer' meal – ideal for groups of young people with a large appetite and a small budget.

A small selection of à la carte dishes is also available in the evening. For smaller appetites or families with small children, à la carte is the ideal option.
