Starkenburger Hut

Accommodation at 2,237 meters altitude

The Starkenburger Hütte was built in 1900 by the Starkenburg Section of the German Alpine Club above Neustift. In recent years, it has been adapted to current requirements with great effort. Particular emphasis has been placed on energy saving (photovoltaic system, water cistern) and improved environmental protection.

On the terrace you have a magnificent panoramic view of the Stubai mountains with their numerous 3,000-meter peaks.  The Starkenburger hut is recommended both as a starting point or as an end point for the hike on the Stubai High Trail. The partly newly built rooms and camps invite you to spend the night at the hut. 60 hikers find place in the hut. Families with children are also welcome at the hut.

WINTER ROOM:
The winter room sleeps 6 in the bed house on the east side. Access to the winter room with AV key. This can be borrowed for a deposit from the section or the hut hosts. Register your stay with them and pay attention to the avalanche situation.

Facilities

The hut can accommodate up to 57 people. You need a sleep sheet to spend the night at an Alpine Club hut. These are available in cotton or silk. Cotton sleep sheets are available for purchase at the hut.

• The mountaineer's half-board can be booked for € 36,- extra

• Luggage transport for the ascent only possible for groups on request, to the next stage destination (Franz-Senn-Hütte) from 5 backpacks for € 50,-
