Description

On the traces of the Trail Running World Championships up to the Kalkkögel
From the start in Neustift, the route starts with few meters of altitude difference via the Franz Senn trail to Milders. The ascent over the Milderaunalm and on to the Hühnerspiel lives up to its name, after a wonderful trail over the Brandstattalm you return to Milders. Now 1400 meters of hard climbing await you up to the Starkenburgerhütte. The route then leads north-eastwards to the Sennjoch, where you should definitely enjoy the view of the "Dolomites of North Tyrol". An extremely attractive downhill takes you down to the Gschmitz natural site. Now the trail follows the Sunnenseit'n Weg via Pfurtschell to the spectacular suspension bridge, the last few kilometers should still be enjoyed, the destination in Neustift is already within reach.
