Mountain lakes in the Stubai Valley

Mountain jewels combine for an experience

In the Stubai Valley you are aware of its great natural beauty. Real jewels often lie well hidden and are not visible at first sight.
In the midst of the magnificent mountain world, in seemingly secret places, hikers enjoy the Stubai mountain lakes. As well as the Seven Summits Stubai and the Stubai naturel sites, the impressive Stubai mountain lakes are also worth discovering.
The tranquillity but also the vitality that the nine most beautiful Stubai mountain lakes radiate make them desirable high energy spots, destinations and stages when hiking.
They captivate you in many different ways. At times the snow-covered peaks seem to bow to the water, in other places a rich emerald green generates enthusiasm and countless "Stoanmandl" again pay homage to another Stubai mountain lake.

Sammelpass für Stubaier Bergseen

Hike the Stubai mountain lakes and collect stamps!

You will find the stamping tool at each of the Stubai mountain lakes directly at the information board.
Collecting is worthwhile! If you have hiked at least 7 of the 9 mountain lakes, you will receive a "Stubai mountain lakes" picture made of wood in one of our tourist offices in Neustift or Fulpmes upon presentation of the stamp pass or the points achieved in the SummitLynx-App and the guest card.
You can get the collector's pass at one of our tourist offices or use the SummitLynx-App.

Families who explore the Baumhausweg in the Schlick 2000  hiking centre are also rewarded. This is one of the highlights of the Stubai summer, along with many other Genuss- & Themenwegen such as the Stubaier Höhenweg.
Furthermore, there is a collection pass for the nature sites, a hiking pass for huts and mountain pastures and the collection pass of the Seven Summits Stubai.

The beauty of the Stubai mountain lakes

Nestled in the high alpine landscape of the Stubaital, the mountain lakes offer a spectacular backdrop for nature lovers and photographers. From the famous Mutterberger See, located in the Stubai Glacier ski area, a popular ski resort in summer and winter, to the idyllic Grünausee - each lake has its own charm. These natural lakes are fed underground or by glacier meltwater, which gives them a unique, often intense blue or green colour.
